20 years of ILG Food Group

From local company to international player

In 1998 ILG took the first step as a family business in the food industry. The eldest son of the Ichoh family started the procurement and sales of products for the catering and hospitality industry from small premises in the city of Enschede, in the eastern part of the Netherlands. His sister would help him daily with the administrative side of the business.

As its first client, ILG welcomed a pizzeria run by an Italian family with a passion for authentic ingredients. With that same passion, ILG grew to become a locally well-known supplier for the catering and hospitality industry. It listened to the wishes of cooks and restaurant owners. This resulted in an ever more complete product range. The whole family helped build the company’s growth.

The ILG Food Group has been in business for 20 years now and products are purchased and sold on a daily basis in 38 countries. The total storage capacity is over 38,000 m2. For an even faster delivery to the south of Europe, a second business location was opened in Switzerland. More and more hotels, restaurants and cafés are being introduced to the flavours of ILG.
